Kalikesam is sitauted in Kanyakumari distirct at Tamilnadu.Kalikesam is gifted with natures beauty and wild animals need special permission from police headquaters to get permission to enter in to the kalikesam forest.India which is famous for its thick forest and rubber plantations. The Kali temple situated here attracts many pilgrims. There is a rocky river with crystal clear water. It is a nice place for people who love peace and nature.
Being a remote place which doesn't attract too much of crowd, there are no facilities available in this place. There is only one small shop which sells tea and biscuits.
If you are going from Ker ala after Trivandrum City it is 85 km via road. After crossing the kerala check post you have to take left from the highway for almost 35 km to reach this place. The roads are excellent throughout, be careful of the kids and cattle wandering in the road if you are driving at higher speed.
Just before reaching the spot there is a police aid post and your vehicle will be searched for liquor or substances of hazardous nature to the environment. If the driver of the vehicle is drunk, a fine is guaranteed. If any liquor bottle is ceased from your vehicle they will smash it in the rocks nearby.The water in the river is the cleanest water you will ever find and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
