Kashmir is situated at the top of India.Its the one of the beautiful place in the world but it know turning like a war feild.Kashmir is the one of the main border of   India seperating India from Pakistan.Until the mid-19th century, the term Kashmir geographically denoted only the valley between the Great Himalayas and the Pir Panjal mountain range.Contemporarily, Kashmir denotes a larger area that includes the Indian administered state of Jammu and Kashmir.


According to the Mahabharata the Kambojas ruled Kashmir during the epic period with a Republican system of government. In the first half of the first millennium, the Kashmir region became an important center of Hinduism and later of Buddhism; later still, in the ninth century, Kashmir Shaivism arose. In 1349, Shah Mir became the first Muslim ruler of Kashmir and inaugurated the Salatin-i-Kashmir or Swati dynasty.For the next five centuries, Muslim monarchs ruled Kashmir, including theMughals, who ruled from 1526 until 1751, then the Afghan Durrani Empire that ruled from 1747 until 1820.



The Kashmir valley or Vale of Kashmir is a valley between Himalayas and the Pir Panjal Range. It is around 135 km long and 32 km wide, formed by the Jhelum River.It was called as "Paradise on Earth" by Jahangir. Currently it has population of around 4 million, 97% of whom are Muslim.
It lies completely within Indian administration in the state of Jammu and KashmirSrinagar is its main city and also the summer capital of the state. Other main cities are Anantnag and Baramulla. There has been armed insurgency since 1989 due to the conflict. It has access to the rest of India through Banihal Tunnel near Qazigund on NH 1A to Jammu, which is interrupted by snowfall in winter. The popular tourist places in the valley are GulmargDal LakePahalgamAmarnath temple etc.

THIRUPARAPPU WATERFALLS

Thirupparappu water fall is the one of the nice waterfall located in kanyakumari district.Thirparappu falls is a natural beauty spot attracts many tourists. It is located at a distance of 5 kms. from kulasekharam. There is a lord shiva temple. The lord after destroying the yagam of dhaxan as virabhadra murthi has taken abode over here. This lord, who is very sweet for the sincere worshippers, is in a fierce form. This temple is one in the shivalaya ottam temples. There are many old inscriptions in this temple including the one of the pandiya king dated nineth century.


This temple is situated in a very scenic background as the kodhaiyaru rivers makes a fall near the temple. This is a west facing abode. The sanctum is round shaped at the bottom and cone shaped toward the top. There is an abode for jvaradevar in the temple. While traveling  from  Kanyakumari to Thirparappu  Waterfall  tourists  can  discover  the beautiful  places  in  and  around  the  region  like  Vattakottai,  Muttom beach,  Gandhi mandap  and  Amman  temple  and  many  more.


Here the entrance fees per head is RS.2 and the person carrying extra camera or the person with extra digital handycam have to pay additional amount of RS.5 .The government have provided a hygenic enviroment to the tourists from domestic and abroad tourists.The water fall and the Sivan temple is the main feature in thiruparappu.Parking faclity is also avalible at the front of thirupparappu water fall.Tamilnadu  government has providing many bus services in this place.All of them can visit this beutiful site with your family.
